SPONSORSHIP BENEFICIARIES
Since its inception in 1991, the Twins Community Fund has had the same basic mission: to enrich local communities by providing resources for the healthy development of children and families through an association with baseball and softball. The Twins Community Fund gave over $5 million in 2009 to a variety of programs impacting thousands of youth. Among its many programs, the Community Fund's top initiative, the Fields for Kids program, has granted more than $1.6 million to improve 425 ball fields in the Upper Midwest, South Florida and Latin America since 1999. Other programs include the Twins' Youth Clinic program, Minneapolis & St. Paul Recreation departments, RBI Expansion program and the Diamonds and Dreams Academic Scholarship program.

Because Every Child Deserves a Chance to Play Baseball.

"The Miracle League" is a charitable organization that provides children with mental and/or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. There is something about playing the game of baseball that lights up kids eyes. But for children facing physical and mental challenges that opportunity can often be a difficult first step. The Miracle League gives these children the opportunity to get out in the sunshine and enjoy playing the game of baseball in its purest form.
